Shape / Advice & direction

A clearer way
forward.

Something needs to change. You shouldn’t have to guess what.

We listen, look across the technology and the business, and help you make a decision you can stand behind. Independent advice, with the experience to turn it into action.

Understand the people. Then the technology.

Does this sound familiar?

Before you buy anything,
understand what needs to change.

A review, a major investment, temporary leadership or a programme that has lost direction. The starting point is your situation, not our service catalogue.

“We need an independent view.”

We look at what you have, what is getting in the way and what a useful outcome would be. Keeping something may be a better decision than replacing it.

“We need senior expertise, not another permanent hire.”

Fractional leadership can give your board, internal team and suppliers a clear direction without creating another full-time post.

“This project isn’t delivering.”

We establish what was promised, what has changed, where decisions are stuck and what a realistic recovery needs.

“Are we spending on the right things?”

We consider licences, contracts, supplier commitments and whole-life costs alongside technical requirements.

Practical capability

The judgement behind
the decision.

We shape the scope around the work, the people and the outcome you need.

Technology leadership

Fractional CIO / CTO or Head of IT input, board advice, operating models, governance and supplier challenge.

Independent reviews & roadmaps

A practical current-state review, prioritised improvements and a roadmap that reflects budget, capacity and dependencies.

Architecture & system selection

Cloud, networks, applications and integration considered together. Requirements and supplier proposals tested against operational reality.

Commercial & procurement support

Business cases, licensing, tender requirements, supplier comparisons and contract discussions with cost and value in view.

Cyber & resilience assurance

A proportionate view of controls, ownership, recovery and evidence. We identify where specialist testing or assurance is required.

Programme & delivery recovery

Re-establish the outcome, decision-making, scope and delivery plan. We can stay involved beyond the recommendations.

What good looks like

The technical answer is only
part of the answer.

A sound decision also has to work for your budget, your people, your contracts and the organisation that will operate it. We bring those considerations into the conversation from the start.

01

A shared understanding

The problem, constraints and intended outcome made explicit.

02

A defensible decision

Options, trade-offs, risks and costs explained plainly.

03

A workable next step

Priorities, ownership and a plan people can actually follow.

Working with us

Use the amount of experience
the situation needs.

Agree a defined review, regular senior input or a focused delivery assignment. Scope and fees are agreed before work starts.

A few useful answers

Before we talk.

There is no obligation to replace your existing team, provider or environment.

Do we have to change IT provider?

No. We can work alongside your internal team, existing provider and specialist suppliers. Useful work should be kept, not replaced for the sake of it.

Can you stay to help deliver the recommendations?

Yes, where agreed. We can lead delivery, coordinate specialist work or hand over a clear plan. The next stage is a separate decision, not an automatic commitment.

Is every engagement a large consultancy project?

No. A clear, bounded review or a small amount of regular senior input may be enough. We agree the outcome and scale the engagement accordingly.

Shape. Run. Evolve.
